Key Responsibilities:
- Design learning activities and instruction that meet the needs of the students in the class, while also integrating Biblical principles to help students grow academically and in their knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ
- Utilize various provided mediums to teach and implement the academic curriculum in a way that is understandable and interesting to students
- Follow the Carver Christian Academy curriculum, while modifying the curriculum to best meet the classroom needs
- Implement classroom management procedures to maintain a well-ordered classroom environment
- Establish and maintain a positive and safe environment for students, assistants, staff and volunteers, that is conducive to learning and promotes spiritual, academic, emotional, social, and physical growth and maturity
- Document student learning progress and outcomes
- Monitor student growth through assessments and observations
- Maintain records and inventory (i.e. curriculum, grades, textbooks, supplies)
- Positively collaborate with the Principal, Dean, administration staff and fellow teachers
- Attend all meetings, training and duties as included in the administrative schedule before or after school
- Attend select evening activities as scheduled by administration (e.g., Open House, showcases, fundraisers, Graduation, etc.)
- Participate in transportation and extracurricular needs and other various tasks as assigned
- Ensure the entry and recording of all daily data required by CCA administration
- Ensure that all incidents, conversations and other pertinent information required by the school management system and CCA administrative staff are documented and logged
- Attends all required spiritual and professional development events and meetings
- Collaborates with Assistant Teacher to formulate effective daily schedules, instruction techniques and administrative roles for the day

Qualifications: have a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or other related educational field: ACSI or State Certificate preferred; must receive annual in-service requirement; reports to School Principal; 40+ hours weekly; FLSA exempt; applicant needs to have an understanding that CCA is primarily a faith-based school.
