Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate clients and programming and activities for PSR 


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Serve on a treatment team to help design and implement individualized treatment plans based on behavior modification principles for all assigned clients. 
  • Maintain client reports and documentation in electronic medical records.
  • Implement behavior modification interventions with assigned clients to address impaired psychological functioning. (Interventions may address issues pertaining to the following areas: behavior management, social competency, problem identification and resolution, effective communication, moral reasoning, identity and emotional intimacy, self-sufficiency, life goals and/or sense of humor although they may not be limited to these areas).
  • Observe, document, and consult with caregivers regularly regarding clients signs, symptoms, and treatment progress.
  • Collaborate with each client's treatment team members including legal guardian(s) if needed to ensure continuity of care.
  • Provide assistance with job training, housing needs, and family support issues
  • Psychosocial rehabilitation specialists assess a client's current condition and level of social functionality and provide activities that develop deficient areas to a greater level of functioning,
  • Monitor and chart clients' progress 
  • Help clients achieve their social integration goals
  • Document sessions and report progress
  • May transport clients to and from 

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills 
  • Must have good  planning and organizational skills
  • State Drivers License and a good driving record
  • Ability to provide own transportation and proof of current automobile insurance

Education and Experience:

  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Bachelors degree preferred in social work, psychology, sociology, applied behavior analysis, or 

  in psychiatric rehabilitation prefer six months of relevant work experience (pending

graduation 12 to 15 months).

  • An associate's degree in psychiatric rehabilitation or related field; requires one year of relevant work experience
  • A psychiatric rehabilitation certificate requires two years of relevant work experience

Physical Requirements: 

  • Body mobility to stoop, kneel, bend, reach, and walk briskly in order to interact with and monitor clients in a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Program
  • Stamina to work 5 hour days and drive locally as needed
  • Moderate lifting as required


Salary

$10 - $15 per hour
