OVERVIEW
We are looking for a friendly and professional Guest Services Host to be the welcoming face of the hotel. As a Guest Services Host, you will be responsible for greeting and assisting visitors, answering phone calls, and managing guest inquiries and reservations. Your exceptional communication and customer service skills will ensure a positive first impression and smooth operations at our front desk.

SALARY + HOURS EXPECTATIONS
- $18.50-$21/ HOUR
- 30-40 hours weekly
- Weekday and weekend availability required
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet and check-in arriving hotel guests.
- Set-up and breakdown of breakfast for in-house guests.
- Clean and maintain public areas, such as the lobby, hallways, and restrooms.
- Assist guests with special requests in a courteous and helpful manner.
- Maintain ambience throughout the day parts (lighting/music/etc)
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the hotel general manager.
- Perform deep cleaning tasks as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with guests in a courteous, professional, and friendly manner.
- Ability to handle guest inquiries and concerns with empathy and discretion while maintaining a positive and welcoming attitude.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- General computer skills. (Previous PMS knowledge preferred, but not required)
- Ability to handle physical workload, including bending, stooping, and lifting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Carry out all tasks with an attention to detail, cleanliness, and safety while maintaining an enjoyable and clean environment for guests and team.
- Ability to multitask.
- Work efficiently and maintain a reasonable pace of service at all times.
- Fill in for absent staff as needed, assist with special events as needed.
- Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
- Ability to honor your schedule, show up on time and clock in and out, put in requests for time off with appropriate notice.
- Must be able to follow written and verbal communication skills as well as nonverbal communications in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with attention to detail.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to handle physical workload, including bending, stooping, and lifting for up to 75% of your scheduled shift.
- Ability to stand for 100% of your scheduled shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, maneuver in narrow hallways, up and down small stairways and behind the bar.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Physically strenuous, standing, lifting, kneeling, stooping, walking and stair climbing throughout the entire shift.
- Loud environment with low lighting in some areas and bright lights in others.
- No driving required.
