OVERVIEW

The Busser/Food Runner plays a key role in ensuring a seamless dining and drinking experience for our guests. Responsibilities include clearing and resetting tables, assisting in delivering dishes from our food partner, and maintaining overall cleanliness in the dining areas. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to move quickly in a busy environment.

SALARY + HOURS EXPECTATIONS

• $14 an Hour + Tips
• 30-40 hours weekly
• Weekday and weekend availability required 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide friendly and excellent service to our guests, ensuring they have a memorable experience.
• Deliver food and drinks, handle transactions, clear tables.
• Be knowledgeable about our menu and offer recommendations.
• Deliver a high level of hospitality and care to every guest.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the restaurant keeping tables clear of mess and ensuring guests have everything they need at their table.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Carry out all tasks with an attention to detail, cleanliness, and safety while maintaining an enjoyable and clean environment for guests and team.
• Ability to multitask (ie converse with guests while making drinks)
• Work efficiently and maintain a reasonable pace of service at all times.
• Engage with all guests in a timely, professional and friendly manner.
• Work to uphold and enforce all necessary  legal statutes at all times.
• Serve safely and appropriately any alcohol by monitoring intake and communicating with staff and management when there are issues or needs.
• Fill in for absent staff as needed, assist with special events as needed.
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
• Ability to honor your schedule, show up on time and clock in and out, put in requests for time off with appropriate notice.
• Ability to fluently work the POS system, as well as responsibly and accurately handle cash payments.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal communication skills in English, as well as nonverbal communications in a fast paced environment. 
• Ability to work independently and efficiently with attention to detail.
• Previous busser and food runnner experience strongly preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to handle physical workload, including bending, stooping, and lifting for up to 75% of your scheduled shift.
• Ability to stand for 100% of your scheduled shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, maneuver in narrow hallways, up and down small stairways and behind the bar. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Physically strenuous, standing, lifting, kneeling, stooping, walking and stair climbing throughout the entire shift. 
• Loud environment with low lighting in some areas and bright lights in others. 
• No driving required.
