As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a key role in providing excellent care to our patients. You’ll perform routine cleanings, conduct oral health assessments, take X-rays, and educate patients on proper dental hygiene practices. You’ll also assist in the prevention and detection of oral diseases, and work closely with the dentist to develop treatment plans. Additionally, you’ll maintain accurate patient records and ensure a comfortable and welcoming environment for all patients.

At Uptown Dental Group, we are seeking a dedicated, friendly, and skilled New York Registered Dental Hygienist to join our family-oriented practice. In this role, you will play an essential part in providing excellent patient care while promoting overall oral health. Key Responsibilities:


  • Perform thorough dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth
  • Take and develop X-rays to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Assess patient oral health and provide recommendations for improving hygiene practices
  • Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing, and overall oral care techniques
  • Assist the dentist in preventive and therapeutic procedures
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Provide post-treatment care instructions to patients
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment, following infection control protocols
  • Help manage patient flow and ensure appointments run smoothly


What We’re Looking For:


  • New York Registered Dental Hygienist (Required)
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
  • A positive, compassionate, and patient-focused individual with excellent communication skills
  • Strong ability to educate patients and promote preventive care
  • Experience with dental equipment and procedures, including X-rays
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in a dental office
  • Familiarity with dental software and charting is a bonus

Salary

$60 - $70 per hour
