Upsolve.org educates approximately 2.9 million people a year with over 2,000 articles on an array of debt and credit topics. Upsolve’s free bankruptcy filing tool has been used by 15,000 families to relieve $650 million in debt. Upsolve users are disproportionately Black and Brown with an average household income of $25,000. Upsolve is expanding beyond bankruptcy with Upsolve Assist, an AI-powered Financial Assistant for low-income Americans. Upsolve Assist helps you understand your best path out of debt and poor credit and, wherever possible, takes action for you. Position Overview:
Upsolve is looking for a User Researcher to help us build an exceptional understanding of our users’ needs, behaviors, and preferences. As a vital part of our Product team, you will coordinate research initiatives that inform the development of our user-centered products. This role will involve planning, conducting, and understanding user research to ensure our products and services deliver optimal experiences.
This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about understanding user behavior and has significant experience with both qualitative and quantitative research methods. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including designers, engineers, user advocates, and Executives, to ensure our user research drives decision-making across the organization.

This is a 1099 contract position with a minimum commitment of 12 months. We expect near full-time availability.
