This role offers comprehensive training across various fiber optic services, including commercial, fiber-to-home, residential installations, outage response, and construction projects. Flexibility is required for short-notice jobs, overnight shifts, and extended hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting of fiber optic cables under supervision.

• Follow safety protocols and maintain a secure work environment.

• Work closely with team members to meet deadlines and quality standards.

• Document all work and maintain organized records.

• Be available for flexible hours, including overnight shifts, long hours, and short-notice assignments.

• Operate commercial vehicles, i.e. bucket trucks and trenchers. 

• Required to maintain General Liability coverage with a minimum of $1 million, if unable to obtain, Unmuted can maintain a policy on your behalf for a fee.

• Travel to job sites or warehouses outside of the Austin metropolitan area.

Qualifications:

• Certifications in telecommunications or electrical fields is a plus but not required.

• Interest in learning a variety of fiber optic services, including commercial, residential, fiber-to-home, outage management, and construction.

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overnight and extended shifts.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.

• Physical ability to handle tasks, including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
