Summary: The Training and Technical Assistance Supervisor (TTA-S) will work under the supervision of the Regional Recovery Hub Director to implement and maintain the Unity training and technical assistance program. The TTA-S will support the team in the delivery of training and technical assistance services in-person, digitally, and virtually as is appropriate. The TTA-S will serve as an educator and mentor to recovery professionals in Allegheny County in an effort to increase the availability and quality of person-centered recovery support services throughout the community. The TTA-S must demonstrate an ability to provide support in all aspects of Unity’s training and technical assistance programs in a variety of settings as may be appropriate. This includes community-based organizations, medical and clinical providers, allied social services providers, and other settings as needed. The TTA-S will oversee day-to-day aspects of the delivery of approved training and technical assistance activities. The TTA-S should have a foundational understanding of the delivery of peer support services for a range of populations and types, including behavioral health recovery and community re-entry.

The TTA-S will support the team in the delivery of training and technical assistance services in-person, digitally, and virtually as is appropriate.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: 

  • Certified Recovery Specialist, Certified Peer Specialist, or Certified Family Recovery Specialist and/or at least two years of experience working in community-based recovery settings. Maintain active credentials or attend specialized training for new credentials within 6 months of hire date. 
  • At least one year of experience providing robust training and technical assistance or support.
  • High degree of technological literacy, including experience using Google Slides, Google Docs, Zoom, and other collaborative software platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of proficiency in written and verbal communication, data management, program planning, and program implementation.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Certified Recovery Specialist Supervisor
  • Experience delivering multiple training or technical assistance services across a wide array of external partners and stakeholders, with a topical focus in recovery support and community-based re-entry services.
  • Experience creating marketing materials and other documents using Canva.
  • Experience working within a grant-funded program, including budgeting, achieving deliverables, and completion of required reporting.
  • Reliable and insured personal transportation.


Essential Duties:

  • Work a minimum of 3 in-person days per week as scheduled and have availability of at least one weekend day each month. In-person work will occur at 801 Bingham Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15203 or in the community as needed.
  • Support the Regional Recovery Hub Director in facilitating the process of the delivery of training and technical assistance requests from start to finish, including creating training plans, refining presentation materials, and communicating with TTA recipients.
  • Engage in relationship building and outreach activities in the community, business, and governmental sectors as needed to further the reach and impact of services and programming.
  • Administrative duties include program and activities scheduling, data tracking and entry, monthly service reports, and regular communication via digital platforms.
  • Support the operation of other Unity programs and their respective program directors as requested and as applicable.
  • Ability to create purchase orders and assist with ordering supplies.
  • Conduct self in an ethical manner by adhering to the PCB codes of ethics.
  • Follow and adhere to the Recovery Bill of Rights.

 

Daily Job Responsibilities: 


  1. Assist in the development and enhancement of program staff professional growth, including training and education in ethics, resource navigation, and other topics as relevant
  2. Maintain project logs, reports, and accurate records in appropriate files and database(s), adhering to program standards. 
  3. Maintain confidentiality regarding information received during the facilitation of services – including current understanding of federal, state, and local confidentiality rules and regulations.
  4. Engage in continuing professional development, applying practical and professional knowledge and experience. Maintain CRSS, CRS, CPS, or CFRS credential. Attain new credentials as appropriate.
  5. Other duties as directed by Executive Leadership

 

Compensation:  $44,000-$54,000 salary range. Includes optional health, dental, and vision benefits; 401k with company match after 1 year of service; unlimited PTO; and other benefits as designated by the organization.
