This role is primarily administrative and program management-focused, with accountability for staff supervision, stakeholder partnerships, and achieving grant deliverables. The D-YRS must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, as well as a commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and youth-centered recovery practices.

Summary: The Director of Youth Recovery Services (D-YRS) will provide overall leadership, supervision, and administrative oversight of Unity Recovery’s Youth Recovery Center (YRC) program based at the Weatherford Recovery Community Center (RCC). This program, funded through Be Well Texas, provides structured peer support services to youth ages 13–21 and their families, blending peer-led recovery support with the evidence-based LifeSkills Training (LST) curriculum, pro-social activities, and family engagement workshops.


The D-YRS will be responsible for ensuring high-quality delivery of all program components, managing a team of youth peer specialists and family peer specialists, and overseeing data collection, reporting, and quality improvement processes. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: 


  • At least two (2) year of supervisory experience overseeing peer staff or program operations.
  • High degree of technological literacy, including proficiency with RecoveryLink, CMBHS, and project management platforms.
  • Reliable and insured personal transportation.
  • Must pass background check required for youth-serving positions.


Preferred Qualifications: 


  • Appropriately licensed or credentialed as peer supervisor in the state of Texas.
  • Experience managing a youth- or family-focused recovery program, including staff supervision and multi-stakeholder partnerships.
  • Demonstrated success managing grant-funded programs, including budget oversight, deliverable tracking, and reporting compliance.

Essential Duties:


  • Provide direct oversight and supervision of peer specialists and family partners delivering YRC programming at the Weatherford RCC in person 5 days a week.
  • Ensure fidelity to Unity’s peer recovery model and the YRC program’s evidence-based design, including implementation of LifeSkills Training (LST), family engagement workshops, and pro-social youth activities.
  • Facilitate weekly supervision with staff, daily debriefs as needed, and monthly team meetings.
  • Manage program operations, including scheduling, budget tracking, and alignment with funding requirements.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and professional development for youth peer specialists and family peer support staff.
  • Ensure accurate, timely documentation in RecoveryLink and CMBHS, and coordinate all reporting deliverables.
  • Lead data collection, quality assurance, and continuous quality improvement (CQI) processes to monitor program outcomes and adapt services as needed.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with schools, juvenile justice programs, healthcare providers, and community organizations to expand referral networks and community engagement.
  • Represent Unity Recovery in stakeholder and community meetings, serving as the primary program liaison.
  • Conduct self and staff in accordance with peer ethical codes, trauma-informed practices, and the recovery bill of rights.

 

Daily Job Responsibilities: 


  1. Oversee daily operations of the YRC program, ensuring youth and family peer support services are delivered effectively.
  2. Provide real-time supervision and support for staff during programming hours.
  3. Review service data, track deliverables, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for the funder and internal leadership.
  4. Troubleshoot programmatic issues, resolve conflicts, and adapt strategies to maintain youth engagement.
  5. Support family-inclusive programming and ensure alignment between youth and family services.
  6. Monitor budget and expenditures, making recommendations to leadership as needed.
  7. Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain relevant certifications.
  8. Other duties as assigned by Senior Leadership.

Compensation:  $52,000-$62,000 salary range. Includes optional health, dental, and vision benefits; 401k with company match after 1 year of service; unlimited PTO; and other benefits as designated by the organization.
