Unity Counseling, LLC is expanding our Muskegon office and is currently hiring licensed therapists for several W-2 positions. We are seeking diverse, committed professionals to meet the increasing mental health needs of our community. Applicants must have an accredited degree in Professional Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology and current Michigan licensure as an LPC, LMSW, LMFT, or LP. Limited licensed applicants will be considered as well.

We are currently looking for a variety of specialties and professional interests, including:

  • Working with children
  • Couples and families
  • EMDR or Brainspotting
  • ADHD assessments
  • Multilingual
  • Eating disorders
  • Certified sex therapist
  • OCD
  • Substance use intervention

Responsibilities:

  • Provide mental health therapy to clients within the scope of training/experience
  • Adhere to legal and ethical guidelines of the profession as well as to “best practice” documentation and billing requirements
  • Develop a rapport with clients to facilitate a healthy therapeutic relationship
  • Respond to client crises as necessary and make recommendations to keep the client safe and ensure all company safety measures are followed
  • Provide limited case management services as necessary and/or communicate with other healthcare providers involved to advocate for other services as needed
  • Demonstrate self-motivated attitude and ability to perform responsibilities of the position with limited supervision
  • Maintain regular and open communication with other members of the team

Qualifications:

  • State licensure that is current, unrestricted, and in good standing
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are needed
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a clinical setting working as a mental health therapist is preferred


Salary

$31.5 - $52.5 per hour
