Understanding Minds Psychological Services is seeking experienced clinical providers for our offices in South and West St. Louis County. We are a locally owned and operated practice committed to delivering high-quality, innovative, and ethical mental health services to our community.

Description

Role and responsibilities:

  • Provide individual therapy
  • Conduct comprehensive intake and follow-up assessments
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation of sessions
  • Attend weekly Treatment Team meetings
  • Function as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, with opportunities to engage in peer mentorship and clinical supervision if desired
  • Opportunities to provide couples and family therapy if desired
  • Opportunities to develop additional clinical programming if desired


Understanding Minds upholds strong values of integrity, collaboration, understanding, social responsibility, and growth. The ideal candidate has:

  • Full licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist) in the state of MissouriĀ 
  • 5+ years of clinical experience
  • Desire to focus on clinical practice through maintaining a full-time caseload (27+ billed hours weekly)
  • Desire to contribute to a collaborative and innovative approach to mental healthcare
  • Interest in continued learning and growth as part of a dynamic teamĀ 
  • Cultural competence and commitment to providing ethical care
  • Excellent time management, boundaries, communication, and rapport building skills
  • Ability to work evening and weekend hours to meet client demand; hiring bonus offered to those who schedule a minimum number of these high-demand hours monthly
