The Activity Marketing Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and promoting engaging resident activities while also leading community outreach and marketing efforts to build the reputation and visibility of the Adult Family Home. This dual role ensures that residents enjoy meaningful, person-centered experiences while strengthening relationships with referral sources, families, and the local community.

Key Responsibilities


Resident Activity Coordination


  • Develop, plan, and implement a monthly calendar of activities that are stimulating, inclusive, and tailored to the interests and abilities of residents (e.g., social, recreational, cultural, cognitive, and physical activities).
  • Coordinate outings such as store visits, community events, and recreational activities while ensuring resident safety and compliance with Adult Family Home regulations.
  • Partner with staff to encourage resident participation in daily activities and monitor resident engagement.
  • Document activities, attendance, and resident feedback for quality improvement and regulatory compliance.
  • Adapt activities for residents with dementia, traumatic brain injuries (TBI), or other special care needs.


Marketing & Community Outreach



  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to increase awareness of the Adult Family Home and attract new residents.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local hospitals, case managers, social workers, senior organizations, and community referral sources.
  • Coordinate tours for prospective residents and families, providing a welcoming and professional experience.
  • Design marketing materials (flyers, brochures, newsletters, and social media content) that highlight the home’s services, activities, and specialized care (dementia, TBI, crisis intervention).
  • Represent the Adult Family Home at community events, health fairs, and networking opportunities.
  • Track and report marketing efforts, referrals, and occupancy trends.


Qualifications


  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Recreation Therapy, Social Services, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in senior living, adult family homes, or healthcare setting strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with residents, families, and community partners.
  • Creativity in developing engaging activity programs and innovative marketing strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with social media platforms.
  • Must have a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and reliable transportation for community outings and outreach.


Working Conditions



  • Primarily onsite in a residential Adult Family Home setting in Milwaukee, WI.
  • Requires flexibility to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays to support resident activities or marketing events.


Salary

$18 - $21 per hour
