Massage Therapist — Umvelt Bathhouse | Bozeman, MT

Position: Massage Therapist (W-2 Employee) Location: Downtown Bozeman, Montana Schedule: Flexible — looking for practitioners available 2–5 days per week

Umvelt Bathhouse is looking for licensed massage therapists to join our team.

We're a downtown Bozeman bathhouse offering a premium contrast hydrotherapy experience — hot and cold plunge pools, steam room, sauna, and a calm, intentionally designed space. We recently opened a dedicated private treatment room and are building out our massage program from the ground up.

This is a W-2 position, not a 1099 room rental. You show up, do great work, and we handle the rest.

What makes this different

Your clients don't just get a massage — they get the full bathhouse experience. Every massage booking includes a 90-minute soak session and towel service for your client, which means you're offering something no standalone studio in Bozeman can match. That's a meaningful differentiator for your practice and supports premium session pricing.

Beyond the client experience, here's what you're walking into:

• A built-in client pipeline. Our front desk team actively refers members and guests to the massage program. You don't need to market yourself or build a book from scratch — we're driving clients to you.
• All booking and payments handled. We run everything through our booking system. No chasing payments, no no-show headaches, no managing your own calendar software.
• Linens, laundry, supplies, and equipment provided. Private treatment room with a hydraulic massage table, stool, hot towel cabbie, oils, and lotions. You bring your hands and your license.
• A guaranteed base wage. You're paid for every hour you're on shift, whether you have 4 clients or 1. Commission is earned on top of that for every service you perform, and tips are 100% yours.

Compensation

This is a base-plus-commission structure designed so you earn well on busy days and still have a floor on slower ones.

• Base hourly wage paid for your full shift
• Commission on every service performed, calculated on the posted service rate
• Tips and gratuities are 100% yours
• Effective hourly range: $40–$80+ depending on bookings and session types (pre-tips)

What we're looking for

• Valid Montana Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) license (or ability to obtain before start date)
• Professional liability insurance (we'll walk you through this if you don't have it yet)
• Reliable, professional, and genuinely interested in providing excellent client experiences
• Comfortable working in a calm, quiet environment alongside a bathhouse operation
• Flexible schedule — we're open to part-time or close to full-time, and we'll work with your availability

We're especially interested in therapists who are building their careers and want a supportive environment with steady clients, rather than the uncertainty of going fully independent right out of the gate.
