At Umpqua Wonders Academy LLC, we are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our team at our Child Care Center & Preschool. This full-time position offers a competitive wage of $15-$16 per hour to start, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth within our organization.

**Job Overview:**

As a Teacher Assistant, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. You will assist in implementing age-appropriate curriculum, observe and assess children's development, communicate effectively with parents and team members, and ensure compliance with all licensing regulations.

**Responsibilities:**

- Assist in implementing lesson plans and activities that promote the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development of children

- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and collaboration

- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns

- Collaborate with team members

- Maintain accurate records of attendance, daily activities, and children's progress

**Requirements:**

- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred or a step 8 in the Oregon Registry

- 2 years of experience working in a child care or preschool setting preferred

- Knowledge of child development theories and best practices in early childhood education

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently

- CPR and First Aid certification preferred

- Registered in the Central Background Registry
