Position Title: Merchandiser

Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Display and Visual Merchandising:
- Arrange and maintain product displays according to company standards and promotional guidelines.
- Ensure shelves, racks, and display areas are clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Design and implement eye-catching displays to attract customers and boost sales.
2. Inventory Management:
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with inventory teams to replenish products as needed.
- Track slow-moving or overstocked items and suggest strategies for optimization.
- Rotate products to maintain freshness (for perishables) and adhere to FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.
3. Promotional Activities:
- Set up displays and signage for sales events, new product launches, and seasonal promotions.
- Ensure promotional materials are accurately placed and updated as required.
- Track the performance of promotional displays and provide feedback to management.
4. Store and Vendor Collaboration:
- Work closely with store managers to ensure merchandising strategies align with store goals.
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding product placements, deliveries, and updates.
5. Market Analysis and Reporting:
- Observe and analyze customer preferences and purchasing trends.
- Gather competitor data regarding merchandising practices and product offerings.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and merchandising success.
6. Compliance and Standards:
- Adhere to company merchandising guidelines and ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.
- Train store staff on basic merchandising principles to maintain standards during peak times.

- Accurate stock levels with minimal shortages or overstock situations.

Qualifications and Competencies:
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in merchandising, marketing, or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in retail, merchandising, or a similar role is preferred.
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong attention to detail and an eye for visual design.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to analyze sales data and customer behavior trends.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Physical stamina to handle standing, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs).
Working Conditions:
- Retail environment with exposure to customer interactions, display setups, and inventory handling.
- May require early morning, evening, weekend, or holiday shifts.
