Ukiah Insurance Services LLC is hiring permanent, hourly Medicare sales agents to assist California consumers during AEP and throughout the year. This role is available remotely in approved U.S. states or in our Ukiah, California office. We are looking for licensed agents who combine strong sales ability with careful needs discovery, customer service, accurate documentation, and sound compliance judgment.

Ukiah Insurance Services LLC is building a thoughtful, customer-focused Medicare sales team. We are looking for licensed agents who can listen carefully, explain complex choices clearly, and help California consumers find coverage that fits their needs.
This is a permanent, year-round position - not a temporary AEP contract. You will join a small team where your ideas, customer insights, and performance will directly influence how we build our sales operation.
The role is available remotely from approved U.S. states or from our office in Ukiah, California.

What you’ll do
You will speak with Medicare consumers, understand their priorities, compare available options using approved tools, and assist with authorized enrollments.
You will help customers consider factors such as doctors, prescriptions, pharmacies, costs, geography, and coverage preferences without pressuring them or making unsupported promises.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting professional, customer-focused Medicare conversations
- Asking thoughtful questions before discussing plan options
- Explaining information clearly and checking customer understanding
- Use integrated comparison, enrollment, and customer-management tools designed to simplify documentation and follow-up.
- Completing accurate enrollment and post-call records
- Following Medicare, privacy, recording, and enrollment requirements
- Escalating questions when information needs to be verified
- Participating in training, coaching, and quality review
- Protecting customer information
- Maintaining required licenses and certifications
What we’re looking for
You may be a good fit if you:
- Hold an active insurance producer license in good standing
- Hold, or can obtain, applicable California health insurance authority before selling
- Communicate clearly and patiently
- Listen before recommending
- Are comfortable working with customers and technology at the same time
- Take documentation and compliance seriously
- Ask for help rather than guessing
- Respond positively to coaching
- Can work independently and reliably
- Are available during the required Pacific-time schedule
Existing carrier appointments are not required. UIS will work with selected agents to complete contracting, appointments, and ready-to-sell approval.

Experience we value
Previous Medicare experience is preferred but not required for every licensed candidate. Particularly relevant experience includes:
- Medicare Advantage or Part D sales
- At least one completed AEP season
- Ritter or similar comparison and enrollment platforms
- Carrier certifications
- Remote sales or contact-center work
- Recorded calls, structured quality review, and post-call documentation
Compensation
The anticipated base-pay range is $25–$30 per hour. Each candidate’s offered rate is based on relevant experience, licensing, demonstrated skills, readiness, and applicable work-state requirements.
Agents are also eligible for a performance-based sales bonus beginning with their first Credited Sale.
Remote and office work
Remote agents need a private workspace, reliable internet, and a compatible personal computer that meets UIS security requirements. Approved remote employees receive a $75 monthly remote-work stipend, with any additional legally required reimbursement handled under the applicable policy.
UIS provides work equipment for employees based in the Ukiah office.
Benefits
UIS does not currently offer employer-sponsored health insurance, a retirement plan, or discretionary vacation/PTO. Employees receive applicable legally required sick leave, workers’ compensation and unemployment coverage, required leave, and expense reimbursement.
Hiring process
Qualified candidates may complete an application and license review, a one-hour structured interview, and a fictional customer exercise. Finalists may receive a conditional offer subject to a job-related background review and applicable readiness requirements.
UIS coordinates contracting, carrier appointments, and ready-to-sell approval.
