Two Roosters Ice Cream is hiring a part-time (15-30 hours/week) Catering Shift Lead to work on our Catering and Events Team. Our team members are the ultimate Two Roosters ambassadors as they exemplify our world-class standards in everything they do. Our Catering and Events team has the opportunity to work weddings, corporate events, music festivals, private parties and more! We are looking for self-starters who are easily able to work as a part of a team or alone.The Catering Shift Lead’s primary responsibility is to work catering and vending events. They will work closely with the Director of Catering & Concessions and the Catering & Concessions Assistant Manager to ensure all events run smoothly and lots of happy customers are served!
This position is a Monday-Friday role, including weeknights when events are scheduled. There may be some mandatory “blackout” dates the Catering Shift Lead will be required to work, but these dates will be communicated ahead of time. This is a year round position, although the nature of the job changes seasonally. Between April 1 and September 30, the bulk of the hours will be catering events. Between October 1st and March 31, the catering shift lead may supplement hours with concession events.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Fill in as point of contact for catering events when the Assistant Manager is unavailable
- Have a positive attitude and willingness to create a warm, fun, and welcoming environment for staff and guests
- Work with Assistant Manager to communicate clearly and timely with the logistics team regarding needs and wants for the catering setups
- Communicate positive and negative interactions with customers
- Help the Assistant Manager with deep cleanings, as needed and available.
- Completing and maintaining accurate and thorough inventory of product and equipment
- Display amazing customer service and positively represent the Two Roosters brand
- Maintain sound food handling and cleaning practices
- Exhibit menu and product knowledge, and accurately serve offerings to company standards
- Follow company protocols, driving and safety rules
- Effectively communicate with other team members and management while on shift
- Work happily and respectfully as part of the team, show initiative when needed
- Promote an environment of fun, kindness, and respect
- Keep catering area cleaned, organized, and well stocked
- Help maintain ice cream catering freezer

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Ability and willingness to drive large catering vehicles (no CDL required)
- Food or other customer service experience
- Flexible availability, minimum of 15 hours a week. Monday availability is REQUIRED.
- Between April 1 and September 30, no planned absences longer than 7 days in a row without prior approval from the Director of Catering and Concessions
- Ability to effectively work well as part of a team and autonomously
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Follow company protocols, including driving and safety rules
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Must have reliable transportation to and from catering events
COMPENSATION
- $22/hour plus tips. Opportunities for performance-based bonuses.
