Objective
A Display Lighting Technician installs, maintains, and repairs low-voltage lighting related to a wide variety of display components. Key duties include wiring, mounting fixtures, installing transformers, and troubleshooting lighting systems to ensure quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
Blueprint Interpretation: Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, sketches, and specifications.
Wiring: Connecting, testing, and troubleshooting low-voltage wiring systems using various components such as LED drivers and specialized connectors.
Assembly: Assembling light fixtures, mounting transformers, and running low-voltage wiring for interior and exterior display components.
Soldering: Joining components with solid soldered connections
Maintenance & Repair: Identifying and repairing lighting system failures, such as replacing faulty transformers, fixtures, or damaged cabling.
System Setup & Design: Following lighting plans to place lights, ensuring proper voltage drop calculations are met for consistent brightness, power needs and system optimization.
Safety: Adheres to straight safety guidelines and procedures.
Experience
5 years in low voltage lighting
Proficient with multiple types of lighting (white, RGB, RGB-W, pixel control, etc.) and controllers
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Experience in tradeshows and exhibits is a plus
