We are seeking a CNC Programmer with experience programming and running 3-axis CNC machines. You will develop new CNC programs for production runs or modify existing programs. The right candidate will also be able to load materials to the machine, run the programs and perform light machine maintenance and repairs.

During the manufacturing process, you will perform quality checks on the machine to ensure the program is producing parts according to specifications, making manual adjustments if necessary. You will also work with the production specialists to look for product modifications that might reduce the amount of material or fabrication time.

Applicants should be familiar with the computer-aided design programs such as AutoCAD, V-Carve or MasterCam. Experience with custom millwork cabinetry, displays and metal fabrication related to tradeshows and events is a plus.

The CNC Programmer / Operator is expected to perform duties and responsibilities that include:

• Load sheet goods onto the CNC machine
• Clean parts that come off of the CNC machine
• Assist in CNC machine maintenance
• Properly account for material usage
• Take accurate weekly and monthly inventory counts
• Flatten and nest parts for programming
• Programming of parts in VCarve
• Analyze drawings to determine dimensions and to choose cutting tools, machine speeds, and feed rates
• Modify existing programs
• Maintain tooling database
• Make manual program adjustments as necessary
• Troubleshoot issues during the manufacturing process
• Fitting the right tools to active machines
• Performing proper set-up and calibration procedures for equipment and accessories
• Setting tolerance levels and cutting speeds
• Translates the requirements of detailed part drawings into measurements for production
• Inspecting workflows to ensure that technical and quality standards are met
• Devising a work plan to efficiently carry out daily machining
• Ability to lift and move sheet goods up to 50#
