Program Coordinator [Hiring Multiple Candidates]

Reports to: Executive Director 

Start Date: 6/2/2025

FSLA: Hourly, Non Exempt

Schedule: In-person & Virtual; 20 Hours/week

We advocate for, empower, and educate marginalized young adults and foster youth by equipping them with financial literacy & life skills so they can pursue educational and career opportunities. 


OUR ORGANIZATION 

Twinspire is a young nonprofit in Los Angeles. We exist to ensure that each young person in our community develops the skills and confidence to fulfill their goals. We aim to lead by example, unlock potential, challenge, and support the next generation. This means that we hold ourselves accountable to measurable and ambitious goals. 


Twinspire’s Team: We have a small but mighty team. Our work is onsite at schools or the Twinspire office in Echo Park. We have four interns. We also have a part-time grant writer and full-time Executive Director. Four board members help guide Twinspire. We are currently looking for two part-time program coordinators to join our growing team.


Work hours and location: 

8:00 am - 5:00 pm [Monday - Friday]

Occasional Nights and Weekend Programs

This position is Hybrid. 

Location(s): School and partner sites throughout Los Angeles 

[Compton, Inglewood, Watts, South LA, & Long Beach]

THE POSITION 


The Program Coordinator designs, develops, facilitates, implements, and measures programs at Twinspire. The Program Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Executive Director, interns, and other team members to ensure that programs align with the mission, vision, and values of Twinspire. In addition to workshop facilitation and management, the Program Coordinator will create train-the-trainer materials and prepare staff to facilitate workshops successfully. The Program Coordinator will also maintain existing partner relationships and cultivate new relationships with schools, nonprofits, and other agencies. 


RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Management

  • Develop, implement, facilitate, and measure Financial Empowerment, Career Development, and Mentorship programming for multiple partner sites.
  • Draft new materials and review existing materials. 
  • Create train a train-the-trainer program and materials. Train and support interns and staff facilitators in delivering programs effectively at partner locations.
  • Manage project timelines and budgets.
  • Coordinate programming calendar. Prepare and organize materials for meetings, workshops, and programs.


Relationship Management

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with partner organizations.
  • Source new relationships and expand the Twinspire network. 
  • Supervise and manage interns and facilitation staff/contractors 


Reporting & Analysis

  • Conduct assessments and collect data to analyze and improve program efficacy
  • Provide weekly reports to the Executive Director detailing program progress and challenges.
  • Create and provide quarterly reports to the Board of Directors
  • Partner with ED to communicate outcomes to donors and external stakeholders via meetings, the website, Annual Report, social media, and other marketing materials

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and relevant work experience.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Canva.
  • Valid driver's license and state-required auto insurance.
  • Required to travel to sites extensively (> 50% of the time).
  • Familiarity with foster care services and policies.
  • Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and learning abilities.
  • A commitment to Twinspire’s mission and vision.
  • Willingness to undergo and pass a background check.
  • Strong facilitation and training skills.
  • Experience developing and tracking program metrics.


This role requires a proactive, flexible, and mission-driven individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to empowering foster youth and at-promise students through education and support.


Bonus Qualifications: 

  • Lived-experience in the foster care system
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish

 

Pay Range 

Twinspire offers $25/Hr - $30/Hr
