Job Summary

We require our teachers to have a strong background in dance, great communication skills, and a commitment to our carefully crafted curriculum. Most of all, we want instructors who are invested in nurturing the big dreams of little dancers.

Current open shifts for immediate hire: Shifts are available for immediate hire on week day afternoon and weekends.

Training & Commitment

Becoming a Tutu School teacher includes a 2–3 week paid training period that involves online learning, in-studio observation, and co-teaching multiple classes per week.

This period can feel intensive, especially at the beginning, and requires reliable communication, punctuality, and follow-through.

Teachers who thrive here enjoy learning deeply, showing up consistently, and growing into a rhythmic weekly teaching schedule after training is complete.

Responsibilities 

• Lead 45-minute ballet classes following Tutu School’s carefully crafted Class Curriculum.
• Take attendance and answer basic questions about class membership and promotions.
• Build rapport and communication with students’ families and prospective clients. 
• Perform basic retail duties including product restocking and processing sales using a point-of-sale system.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the studio, lobby, retail display, and bathroom. 
• Communicate effectively with management and administration.

Qualifications

• Experience in dance with a ballet background is strongly preferred
• High school or equivalent is preferred
• Experience working with/teaching young children (1-8 yrs. old) in groups of 5-10 children
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
