As a tutor at Tutor Portal, you will have the opportunity to inspire, mentor, and guide students on their educational journey. Your role will involve:

1. Providing One-on-One and Small Group Instruction: Delivering individualized tutoring sessions based on the specific needs and learning goals of each student.
2. Subject Expertise: Demonstrating expertise in your assigned subject(s) and effectively communicating complex concepts to students in a clear and concise manner.
3. Building Rapport: Establishing a positive and supportive relationship with students to foster trust, motivation, and confidence in their abilities.
4. Personalized Approach: Adapting teaching methods and strategies to accommodate different learning styles and individual needs.
5. Progress Monitoring: Assessing student progress, identifying areas for improvement, and providing constructive feedback to support their development.
6. Effective Communication: Maintaining open and timely communication with students, parents, and the Tutor Portal team to ensure a seamless tutoring experience.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

1. Tutoring Experience: Previous tutoring, teaching, or mentoring experience is preferred but not required. Passion for helping others learn and grow is essential.
2. Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively, explain concepts clearly, and engage students in the learning process.
3. Flexibility and Reliability: Willingness to adapt to different student needs, schedules, and learning preferences. Punctuality and commitment to scheduled tutoring sessions are crucial.
4. Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using online tutoring platforms, video conferencing tools, and other educational technology resources.

BONUS

New Hires are eligible for a sign on bonus of $300 if tutor completes 80 or more hours within three months of start date.
