Turning Stone Counseling is a private practice located in Pasadena, MD. We provide individual, family, and group counseling both in-person and via telehealth. All applicants must be Maryland licensed and open to working the following: At minimal one (1) in-person day in the office and One (1) evening shift required- Can be the same day. Full time position 30+ hours Hold an active Maryland license (LMSW, LGPC, LCSW-C, LCPC, LCMFT)- we do provide supervision for provisional licensed


Job Overview:

Turning Stone Counseling LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Counselor to join our team. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will provide individual, family, and/or group counseling services to clients both in-person and via telehealth. This is a full-time position with the opportunity for professional development.

A good candidate for our practice is willing to or will have:

  • Commute to the office one day a week for in-person sessions (located in Pasadena, Maryland)
  • Provide at least one evening per week.
  • The appropriate set up to provide telehealth services from home and are aware of telehealth guidelines.

  • They have a niche and/or desire to grow a niche that aligns with our practice (Children, Trauma, Couples, etc)
  • Willing to work 30-35 hours a week for full time.
  • Fully licensed or Provisionally licensed in the State of Maryland with no restrictions.


- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for clients

- Provide individual, family, and group counseling sessions

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records

- Stay current on best practices and evidence-based interventions in the field of mental health counseling

- Participate in regular supervision and team meetings

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

- Knowledge of ethical and legal standards in mental health counseling

- Experience working with diverse populations
