We are looking for a Lead Teacher for our 4 and 5 year old class. Lead teachers are responsible for implementing our early learning center program. Lead teachers also develop and provide a nurturing and responsive learning environment that meets the needs of the children. Must be able to work Monday/Wednesday/Friday 8AM to 1PM and have a heart for Jesus and for our youngsters. This position while starting as a part time position is planned to move to full time once enrollment reflects that need.
A lead teacher must meet the following qualifications:
• Be at least eighteen years old.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent; and complete the applicable preservice requirements
• Have an ECE initial certificate or equivalent as approved and verified in the electronic workforce
registry by the department within five years from being employed or promoted into this position at
any licensed early learning program.
• Progress towards an ECE short certificate or equivalent. A center lead teacher must have an ECE
short certificate within two years of receiving an ECE initial certificate, or seven years from being
employed or promoted into this position at any licensed early learning program.
• Have their professional development progress documented annually.
• Valid DCYF background clearance
• Valid CPR/First Aid certification
• TB Test
• Washington food handlers card
• Previous learning center/daycare experience

• Brightwheel or similar program experience
• Experience with primary caregiving
• Basic computer skills, including e-mail and word processing
$21 - $25 per hour
