Job description:
We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Non-Medical Caregiver to provide in-home assistance to clients who need help with daily activities due to aging, disability, or recovery. This position focuses on companionship, safety, and support—not medical or clinical care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) & (IADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide companionship and engage clients in conversation, hobbies, or light recreation
- Help with meal planning, preparation, and feeding, cooking required
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dishwashing, and tidying rooms. Assist with mobility and transfers (e.g., from bed to chair)
- Accompany clients to errands or appointments (driving or assisting as a passenger)
- Monitor client well-being and report changes to family or supervisor
- Remind clients to take medications (no administration or dosing)
- Promote a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Experience in home care, personal care, or caregiving (professional or family-based)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (if travel is required)
- Able to lift or assist clients as needed (physical capability)
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred or willing to obtain)
- Background check required
- Schedule & Work Environment:
- Flexible hours: full-time, part-time, or overnight shifts
- Work performed in private residences
- May involve pets, stairs, or long periods of standing or sitting
