Position Responsibilities

General Accounting & Financial Management

- Maintain and reconcile accounts

- Prepare financial statements

- Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections

- Reconcile credit card accounts

- Manage cash flow forecasting

Music Publishing Royalties & Licensing

- Track and record royalty income from PROs (e.g., ASCAP, BMI, SESAC), digital platforms (Spotify, Apple Music), mechanical rights organizations, and sync licensing deals

- Ensure proper allocation of royalties to songwriters, composers, and rights holders

- Reconcile royalty statements from distributors and publishers

Tax Compliance & Reporting

- Work with CPAs on income tax preparation and audits

Software & Systems Management

- Use QuickBooks for reconciling and reporting and Notion (productivity software)

- Maintain secure financial records for audits and investor reporting

Requirements

- Knowledge of GAAP

- Minimum Quickbooks experience: 3 years

- Monthly meetings with owner

- Excellent communication a must

- Interest in Music Business a plus
