Description
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with site preparation, grading, and excavation activities
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment
- Support crews with utility installation (water, sewer, and drainage systems)
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
- Assist equipment operators and skilled trades as needed
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations
- Perform general labor duties such as digging, lifting, carrying, and material handling
- Help with traffic control and site safety when required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous construction or civil labor experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Reliable transportation to job sites
Preferred Skills
- Experience with civil construction, utilities, or roadway work
- Familiarity with construction tools and equipment
- OSHA 10 certification (preferred but not required)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
- Comfortable working in outdoor construction environments
