The Role

As an Estimator at TSS Civil, LLC, you will be responsible for analyzing project plans and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates. You will collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure that all aspects of the project are considered in your estimates, contributing to the overall success of our civil construction projects.

What You'll Do

- Analyze project documents, including plans and specifications, to determine project requirements.

- Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment needed for projects.

- Collaborate with project managers to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.

- Review and verify estimates prepared by other team members for accuracy and completeness.

- Maintain a database of historical cost data to inform future estimates.

- Monitor project costs and assist in budget management throughout the project lifecycle.

- Participate in project meetings to discuss estimates and provide input on cost-effective solutions.

What We're Looking For

- Proven experience as an estimator in the civil engineering or construction industry.

- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

- Proficiency in estimating software and tools.

- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice to Have

- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.

- Experience with project management software.

- Certification from a recognized estimating organization.
