Job Summary:
As the Director of Data Partnerships, you will be at the forefront of shaping and executing the Truthset Data Collective strategy. Your responsibilities will involve building strong partnerships with our data partners, ensuring the successful delivery of services, creating new monetization strategies, prospecting new partners, and growing revenue. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, client service, and a proactive, "figure-it-out" attitude that thrives in a start-up environment.
Responsibilities:
Data Strategy and Management:
- Champion the recruitment, maintenance, and client service of the Data Collective, ensuring the growing value between Truthset and each data provider.
- Conduct research and develop compelling business cases for expanding our data strategy beyond consumer demographics to encompass B2B, purchase data, intent data, identity resolution, etc.
- Identify and explore potential partnerships with industry solutions related to identity, connectivity, and marketplaces.
- Develop and launch new products into the Data Collective to expand value to participants
Data Provider Relationship Management:
- Serve as the main point of contact for all data providers (validation sets and data collective participants), fostering strong relationships through effective communication and regular meetings.
- Deliver quarterly Accuracy Scores reports to data providers, incorporating new discussion topics and opportunities to enhance our value
- Identify and pursue opportunities to strengthen the value exchange, such as Truthset Scored segments, onboarding scoring, source scoring, and data transformation scoring.
- Actively participate in industry body initiatives and projects, managing relationships with key organizations and members.
Data Science and Engineering Collaboration:
- Work with Truthset data science/engineering teams to ensure timely quarterly reporting to data providers, setting clear expectations for the process, and prioritizing activities.
- Envision the delivery of results to clients, assisting with QA and creating compelling narratives to present insights effectively.
Marketing collaboration:
- Work closely with the marketing team to craft messaging aimed at data providers
- Attend industry events to build new relationships and strengthen existing partner confidence
- Assist with content marketing initiatives related to data providers, platforms, and industry bodies.
Skills Required:
- Extensive knowledge of Ad Tech, Martech, including Platforms/Marketplaces, IDR, and Measurement, in addition to deep knowledge of the Third-Party Data Provider space.
- Ability and willingness to educate the internal team on these subjects, ensuring alignment across various areas of expertise.
- Proven ability to make bold decisions while strategically positioning the company and its assets for success.
- Strong technical acumen with the capacity to effortlessly transition between in-depth technical discussions and high-level presentations to C-level executives.
- Versatility to wear multiple hats and handle responsibilities across business development, strategy, client service, marketing, and pre-sales solutions.
