Role Summary

As a Technical Architect, you play an important role in providing technical direction and leadership, defining the architecture and designing solutions, ensuring that the architecture meets the necessary requirements (such as scalability, reliability, maintainability), and performing various other tasks that connect various aspects of a project or organization. 

As a Technical Architect, you will collaborate with the functional team to determine the most effective way to implement a solution, considering options such as declarative, programmatic, or AppExchange approaches. You will also be responsible for addressing technical issues raised by less experienced team members, and serving as a technical authority on the Salesforce platform, security, integration, data migration, and other solution components.

Technical Architects may be involved in multiple projects or support multiple teams concurrently, and may also be involved in sales initiatives, such as developing scope/SOW documents, solutions, and price estimates.


Responsibilities

  • Lead functional and technical workshops, showcasing strong leadership skills in the design, delivery, testing, and deployment of solutions
  • Demonstrate expertise in preparing user journeys, reviewing user stories, and using modern UI techniques such as Apex Design Patterns, LWC, and data modeling
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the client, driving conversations with Enterprise Architects and business stakeholders to shape the architectural vision and establish a program roadmap
  • Collaborate with clients and leadership to identify and document challenges, desired outcomes, risks, dependencies, vision, and strategy
  • Manage clients’ expectations and negotiate solutions to complex problems with both the customer and third-party stakeholders
  • Propose recommendations, provide justifications, and align with clients and leadership to define backlog items for successful project delivery
  • Build relationships of trust with the customer's leadership, promoting and implementing best practices
  • Lead technical architecture and design, including creating plans, roadmaps, and other necessary artifacts and deliverables
  • Assist the Product Owner with product backlog and roadmap refinement, as well as planning and prioritization
  • Manage scope, expectations, and commitments effectively
  • Monitor and assess code quality, security, and technical debt

  • Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences, as well as demonstrate expertise in architecture and design
  • Strong leadership, project management, and resource management skills
  • Proven ability to manage clients, facilitate meetings, and influence decision-making
  • In-depth knowledge of Salesforce products, upgrades, and impacts
  • Proficiency in Salesforce out-of-the-box functionality, best practices, and security
  • Understanding of Salesforce governor limits
  • Experience developing data architecture
  • Expertise in middleware or other integration technologies in cloud or on-premises
  • Ability to handle complex data structures, data migration, and data integration
  • Experience selecting, implementing, and integrating third-party tools
  • Strong skills in breaking down work into manageable chunks and determining the appropriate sequence
  • Proficiency in agile methodologies


Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years IT experience with 5+ years in Salesforce, 3+ years as a Salesforce Technical Architect
  • 3+ years of experience in Salesforce configuration and development, including  Lightning Flows, Apex, Triggers, LWC
  • Proficiency with modern web and mobile technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Web Components
  • 5+ years of experience creating artifacts and deliverables, including as-is versus to-be technical documentation, diagrams, configuration workbooks, and test-driven development documents
  • 5+ years of experience working on agile delivery teams, providing leadership, direction, and support to developers, testers, release and performance engineers, and configurators.

Salary

$110,000 - $250,000 per year
