Description

True North Urgent Care is seeking dynamic and compassionate healthcare professionals to join our team. Key Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess and treat acute illnesses and injuries in a fast-paced urgent care setting.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, EKGs, and laboratory studies.
  • Triage and manage patients efficiently to minimize wait times.
  • Utilize electronic medical record systems to ensure timely and accurate documentation.
  • Perform minor surgical procedures, such as wound closure and abscess drainage.
  • Manage daily tasks, patient callbacks, and lab results.
  • Develop and implement patient management plans, including prescribing medications and referrals to specialists.
  • Conduct school/sports physicals, DOT exams, and pre-employment evaluations.
  • Maintain a professional and empathetic demeanor with patients and their families.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and reduce costs.


Qualifications:


  • Physician Assistant: Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies, AAPA certification, Michigan PA licensure, 2 years of experience in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine preferred.
  • Nurse Practitioner: MSN or DNP from an accredited program, Michigan RN licensure, ANCC or AANP certification, 2 years of experience in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine preferred.
