We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Retail Manager to lead and support our retail team in delivering an exceptional customer experience in the cannabis retail space. As a Retail Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing daily store operations, mentoring staff, and implementing marketing initiatives to achieve business goals.

Description

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Supervise and motivate retail associates to meet sales targets and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Create and manage shift schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during peak times.

Store Operations

  • Oversee daily store operations, including inventory management, cash handling, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain store cleanliness, merchandising standards, and product displays.
  • Assist in resolving customer inquiries, complaints, and issues promptly and professionally.

Marketing & Sales

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to execute in-store promotions, events, and campaigns.
  • Managing vendor relationships.
  • Facilitating brand recognition within store and externally via marketing channels.
  • Launching in store sales competitions as well as product/brand promotions focused on achieving specific revenue targets.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare and present performance reports, including sales figures, team productivity, and marketing results.
  • Monitor and control expenses to align with budgetary goals.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and propose actionable solutions.



Qualifications

  • Experience: 2+ years of people management experience in a retail or customer-facing environment. Prior experience with marketing initiatives in a retail context is highly preferred.  Prior cannabis experience/knowledge preferred.
  • Expertise within Michigan's Metrc system. 5+ years of Metrc experience preferred.
  • Candidate must have ability to cover all hours of retail operations on a weekly basis.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.

Salary

$65,000 - $95,000 per year
