Description: Teacher Aides assist the Lead Teacher in caring for and educating children two to five years old. This is accomplished through directed classroom management, planning, instructing, and supervising social and developmental activities. In addition, aides also assist the Lead Teacher in maintaining a clean and safe environment for all children and staff.

Responsibilities and Duties: Teacher Aides will assist the Lead Teacher with the classroom curriculum and classroom management through:

• Behavior modeling, guidance, and correction as necessary
• Classroom rules enforcement
• Recognizing potential classroom issues and bringing them to the attention of the Lead Teacher 
• Assist in the social, emotional, and spiritual developmental activities planned by the Lead Teacher
• Offer positive guidance to the children throughout the day
• Provide one-on-one learning support 
• Ensure the well-being and safety of each child at all times
• Assist with setting up and cleaning the classroom every day
• Assist with meal times, changing diapers, taking children to the bathroom, washing hands
• Always be prepared to take on the duties of Lead Teacher if the Lead Teacher is temporarily called away during the school day

Qualifications and Skills: Teacher Aides must support the mission and statement of faith of Trinity Baptist Ministries, lead a Christian lifestyle, and possess a Biblical worldview. Aides must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Relevant experience working with children five years old and under is preferred, and strong communication and interpersonal skills are vital. Aides must pass a Trinity Baptist Ministries conducted background check and complete and maintain American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and AED certification. In addition, aides must be friendly, patient, and passionate about teaching young children and caring for their well-being.
