Description
The Coach at Community Christian Academy plays a vital role in the development of student-athletes, both on and off the field. This position involves teaching and mentoring students in athletic skills, sportsmanship, teamwork, and character development, all within a Christ-centered environment. The coach must be an inspiring leader who fosters discipline, teamwork, and perseverance while upholding the school’s mission and values.
Requirements
- Be a born-again Christian who is exemplary in his/her Christian walk.
- Bachelor’s degree in physical education, coaching, or a related field preferred.
- Previous coaching experience at the middle school, high school, or collegiate level.
- Strong knowledge of the sport, including techniques, strategies, and safety protocols.
- Ability to mentor and encourage students in their athletic and spiritual growth.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and parents.
- Commitment to upholding Christian principles in coaching and team development.

- Develop and implement effective training programs that build skill, discipline, and teamwork.
- Provide Christ-centered mentorship to student-athletes, encouraging personal and spiritual growth.
- Organize and conduct regular team practices, conditioning, and game strategies.
- Foster an environment of sportsmanship, respect, and perseverance.
- Ensure that all athletes adhere to school and league policies and demonstrate exemplary character.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding schedules, expectations, and team needs.
- Work closely with administration and faculty to support student-athletes' academic success.
- Maintain an environment that prioritizes student safety, physical well-being, and injury prevention.
- Lead by example through prayer, encouragement, and personal integrity in all aspects of coaching.
- Participate in professional development and stay informed on best practices in coaching and Christian leadership.
- Accept a share of responsibility for extracurricular activities as assigned.
- Cooperate with administration in implementing all policies, procedures, and directives governing the operation of the school.
- Contribute to the overall improvement of the school’s athletic program and culture.
