Trades Town Quality Control Manager White House, TN · Full time Company website

The Quality Control Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the inspection, receiving, and repair processes at Trades Town, with a mandate of ensuring that every item we add to inventory is correctly identified, evaluated, and documented in our information systems. An ideal candidate will lead a team of grading technicians who inspect, label, and enter items into inventory, along with the repair technicians who turn incomplete items into sellable inventory. The responsibilities warrant deep familiarity with the tools we buy and the product lines our vendors carry. This role owns the quality of everything that reaches our shelves and our customers. It requires setting and holding standards, spot-checking the work, and continually evaluating the process for throughput and grading accuracy.

About Trades Town

Trades Town is a specialty distributor of tools and outdoor power equipment based in White House, Tennessee, just north of Nashville, with more than twenty years in the tool and equipment trade. We give open-box, excess, discontinued and returned tools and equipment a second life: every item is inspected and graded by people who know tools, then put into the hands of the contractors, tradespeople and homeowners who need them, at a price that makes sense. We’re growing and building our team, systems and processes from the ground up, so people who join now have a real say in how the work gets done and room to grow with us. If you like hands-on work, know your way around tools, and want to see your effort make a difference, you’ll fit in here.

Description

▪      Direct the Repair Technicians in returning incomplete and damaged items to sellable condition.

▪      Identify gaps in item data that slow grading or selling, and drive them to resolution.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION

▪      Label, repackage, and hand finished items to the Warehouse team for put-away.

▪      Work with Purchasing on vendor quality issues, invoice reconciliation, and service parts.
