TPA Stream is looking for an experienced Python Software Developer to help us engineer the next generation of Python/React-based apps. In this role contribute to the quality of our core product and new product applications. You’ll collaborate with our other developers, designers, and support team while maintaining concise and optimal code.

With two technical co-founders actively involved in the development of our product, we are continuously committed to working with cutting edge technology and excellent development practices. Some of the tools we most commonly work with are Python, Kubernetes , React , Google Cloud Platform, AWS, PostgreSQL, Linux, Flask, SQLAlchemy, Celery, and Marshmallow. We rely on extensive unit testing and practice continuous delivery.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The TPA Stream team primarily works remotely. We dress casually, we like to laugh, and we like to eat lunch together when possible.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will be expected to contribute to all aspects of the software development lifecycle including pitching your ideas, working with requirements, and partnering with cross-organization teams to bring ideas to reality
- Design, architecture, implementation, and testing of software applications
- Support and troubleshoot existing software in production
- Present new code design and implementation patterns, as well as potential enhancements to the existing codebase to peers for review as part of our overall code quality process
- Mentor junior developers to help increase level of understanding and ability in related technologies and methodologies
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
- a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience,
- 3+ years of software development experience,
- experience using version control in a larger (more than 2 developers) team environment,
- basic understanding of bash / command line tools,
- strong understanding of HTTP and web technology,
- experience using python, ruby, php, java, or other similar languages
- strong understanding of the latest trends in JavaScript
TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS
PROFICIENT WITH THE FOLLOWING TECHNOLOGIES:
- Python/SQL programming
- React
- Kubernetes
- Google Cloud Platform
- AWS
- PostgreSQL
- Linux, Flask
- SQLAlchemy
- Celery and Marshmallow
- We rely on extensive unit testing and practice continuous delivery.
