Description

As the Assistant Property Manager, you will work hand-in-hand with the Property Manager to ensure the smooth daily operations, financial health, and physical upkeep of two communities. This is a hands-on role that balances office administration with active community oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Resident Relations: Serve as a primary point of contact for residents, handling inquiries, resolving complaints, and enforcing community rules and regulations with professionalism and tact.
  • Leasing & Operations: Assist with home sales, lot leases, background checks, and the onboarding of new residents.
  • Rent Collection: Assist in collecting rent, managing delinquencies, processing notices, and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Community Maintenance: Conduct regular property walkthroughs to ensure the communities meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and curb appeal. Coordinate with maintenance staff and vendors for repairs.
  • Administrative Support: Maintain organized digital and physical resident files, prepare reports, and assist the Property Manager with legal/eviction proceedings when necessary.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of Property Management experience is strictly required. (Experience in manufactured housing or mobile home communities is a huge plus!)
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with property management software (e.g., Yardi, RentManager, AppFolio) and MS Office (Excel, Word).
  • Mobility: A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, as you will be split-managing two local communities.
  • Mindset: A problem-solver who can work independently, multitask, and stay calm under pressure.


Salary

$45,000 - $50,000 per year
