Hiring range: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour, depending on experience and skill-level.

Schedule:

• Tuesday - Saturday
• Must be available at least 30 hours each week to be considered full-time and acquire benefits

Hospital hours: Monday-Saturday, 8 a.m. until 6 p.m.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has at least 1 full year of experience as a veterinary assistant and the ability to demonstrate proper restraining techniques, in-house laboratory skills, catheter placement, blood draws, ability to accurately fill prescriptions
• Has solid soft skills/people skills including effective communication with clients and fellow team members, problem-solving, work ethic, maturity, time-management, and other interpersonal skills
• Has a solid understanding of preventative medications, medical terminology and calculations, and a passion for client education
• Takes initiative by preparing for each day’s appointments, taking phone calls, setting appointments, taking medical history of patients, assisting veterinarians in surgery, physical exams, and diagnostic workups
• Can demonstrate efficient organization and has the ability to pay attention to multiple details by taking initiative and staying motivated to provide excellent service to our clients
• Wants to learn new skills and is focused on using them to advance their careers for the betterment of themselves, their team, and the clients and patients we serve
• Has a positive attitude and is an effective and respectful team player
