Tops is seeking CNC and Sawjet Operators to join our high-tech stone fabrication team. This role is vital to the precision and quality of our granite and quartz countertops. As a Sawjet Operator, you'll be responsible for operating advanced equipment like Baca Robosaws and Park Titan CNCs to execute jobs in line with fabrication drawings and production schedules. Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate Baca sawjet, Park CNC router, Marmo Meccanica polisher, and other stone fabrication equipment with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Read and interpret fabrication/shop drawings and diagrams to execute production tasks effectively.
  • Set up and run sawjet programs according to the production schedule.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Load, unload, and move heavy stone pieces (75 lbs or more) using cranes or forklifts.
  • Address quality concerns immediately and communicate with Shift Lead or Operations Manager.
  • Follow company procedures for tool dressing, calibration, maintenance, and safety.
  • Participate in organizing and staging jobs for upcoming production shifts.
  • Perform daily and routine maintenance on equipment as required.

  • Other duties as assigned to support company vision and goals.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED; or equivalent training/experience.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret shop drawings and documentation.
  • Understanding of quality control practices and basic CAD knowledge (a plus).
  • Forklift certification (training provided if needed).
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well with Shift Leads and Management.
  • Familiarity with geometry and basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals).
  • Common-sense problem solving and the ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions.

Work Environment:

  • Indoors in a non-temperature-controlled stone shop.
  • Noise levels can be loud to very loud.
  • Steel toe or rubber boots required.
  • Physical requirements include standing, walking, lifting (up to 100 lbs), grasping, reaching, and handling materials.

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–6:30 PM (5 eight-hour shifts per week)
