This is an unpaid for credit ONLY internship.

To be eligible you must be:

  • Currently enrolled at a college / university in the United States
  • Program Dates: June 1 to August 15.
  • Commit to working a minimum of 2 days or 15 hours per week (up to 24)
  • Must work in person from our LA Office
  • Working days must be Monday through Thursdays (no Fridays)

Interested in music, strategy, and the business behind the release? Too Lost is looking for driven interns to join our summer program and gain hands-on experience across our LA and NY teams. This is a chance to learn how a modern music distribution company supports artists and partners through strategy, marketing, operations, and deal execution.


As an Operations Intern at Too Lost, you will support and learn from our team responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution processes. You will be responsible for coordinating and executing various tasks related to distribution and catalog management, thereby ensuring seamless workflows and exceptional service for our clients. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.


What You'll Be Doing:

  • Assist in the onboarding process for new artists and labels onto our distribution platform.
  • Coordinate the ingestion and processing of music content, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on audio files and metadata to ensure compliance with industry standards and platform requirements.
  • Identify and resolve any issues related to audio quality, metadata discrepancies, or content rights.
  • Provide support to artists, labels, and internal stakeholders regarding platform functionality, content delivery, and rights management.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to content delivery and distribution.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
  • Contribute ideas and suggestions for improving workflows, tools, and systems to streamline operations and enhance scalability.


What We Are Looking For:

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university or eligible for credit
  • Located in NYC and able to work in person from our office
  • Interest in operations, processes, data and the back end of the Music Industry
  • Experience in Google Sheets/Google Suite and analyzing metadata
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize needs across multiple projects and tasks
  • Excellent attention to detail, including grammar and spelling
  • Excited by a collaborative environment where quick learners thrive
  • Comfortable working in an ever changing environment with many demands and priorities, requiring flexibility, a positive demeanor and a “can do” attitude
