Tony Aye Artistry Foundation, Inc. is searching for a dynamic individual to serve as a music instructor for the 2024 school year.


Job Type: Full Time

Contracted through: Tony Aye Artistry Foundation, Inc. 

Reporting Site: Arundel Elementary School

Compensation: $25/HR

Tony Aye Artistry Foundation believes that it is essential for young people to have access to not only learn about the arts but to apply them in a real world setting. To that end, we sponsor youth specific events, opportunities, and programs as well as support schools and youth based organizations to ensure that the Fine Arts are always available to youth and the community. 

In support of that goal, the Instructor is responsible for all music and education-related elements within the lessons. The Instructor creates a dynamic lesson experience to ensure their students are challenged and inspired. The Instructor embodies musical performance and education in a positive way and is responsible for creating a valuable student lesson experience. In addition to our artists, we aim to ensure that every student feels S.A.F.E. (Supported, Affirmed, Fueled and Empowered). Skill Requirements:

  • 3 + years of appropriate classroom teaching experience and/or performing music professionally
  • Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design
  • Excellent ability to deal well with a wide range of students
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Resourceful, creative and good problem-solver
  • Enthusiastic, flexible, patient, and positive demeanor

Additional Skills preferred:

  • Lesson Plan Development: Experience in developing and executing age appropriate lesson plans
  • Behavior Management & Classroom Management: Ability to enforce 100% engagement in a classroom at all times and utilize behavior management strategies to set and maintain clear expectations
