About the Role
The Tomorrow Center is seeking a Part‑Time Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our collaborative pediatric therapy team. The SLP will provide play‑based, evidence‑informed speech and language therapy services to children and adolescents (approximately ages 3-19) in a supportive, sensory‑friendly outpatient clinic.
At The Tomorrow Center, the SLP plays a deeply relational role in helping autistic children and teens communicate in ways that feel authentic, empowering, and joyful. We are looking for an SLP who can blend evidence-based practice with creativity, compassion, and respect for each learner’s unique communication style. This role is rooted in partnership—with families, with our multidisciplinary team, and most importantly, with each child.
Responsibilities
- Conduct strengths-based speech, language, communication, and feeding evaluations, re‑evaluations, and treatment sessions
- Develop individualized, functional communication plans that honor each child’s sensory, emotional, and developmental profile
- Provide play-based, neurodiversity-affirming therapy across spoken language, AAC, gestural communication, and social interaction
- Lead AAC assessment, device trials, and ongoing coaching for children, families, and staff
- Support S2C, typing, and other alternative strategies to increase language for non-speakers
- Collaborate closely with ABA, OT, educators, and creative arts staff to ensure communication supports are consistent across school, therapy, and home
- Document progress with clarity, warmth, and family-friendly language
- Partner with parents and caregivers through coaching, modeling, and accessible communication strategies
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and the co-creation of a compassion-centered, inclusive culture
- Comply with all ethical, professional, and HIPAA standards
Qualifications
Required:
- Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Georgia SLP licensure and ASHA CCC-SLP (or eligibility for CFY with strong pediatric experience)
- Experience supporting autistic children and teens, including AAC users
- Commitment to neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, and strengths-based practice
- Pediatric outpatient experience and passion for working with children and families
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred:
- Familiarity with play‑based and neurodiversity‑affirming approaches
- Experience with electronic documentation systems like Fusion
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, kneel, and move throughout therapy sessions
- Ability to engage in floor‑based and play‑based therapy activities
- Ability to lift and assist pediatric clients as needed
