TOMAGWA is a comprehensive family practice clinic that provides medical services regardless of race, creed, ethnicity, religious affiliation or the ability to pay. Last year, more than 750 dedicated professional and service-oriented volunteers, along with a small staff, provided more than 250,000 family member visits, from babies to grandparents, who could not afford health care and were without health insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

1. Provides support to the Medical Department and all TOMAGWA patients by:

a. Efficiently manage patient flow in area of responsibility.

b. Able to use EMR to make appointments, review schedules and assist patient check-in.

c. Complete medical intake of patients including vital signs, height, weight, etc.

d. Ensure appropriate documentation is available for medical staff to evaluate the patient’s present condition.

e. Able to perform EKG’s and phlebotomy.

f. Prepare, administer, and document immunizations per physician’s orders and enter appropriate information into ImmTrac.

g. Order and maintain laboratory supplies and equipment.

h. Perform monthly inspection of medical equipment and request calibration when indicated.

i. Additional responsibilities delegated by Supervising Nurse.

j. Administer immunizations as part of the Immunizations program.

- Five plus years of clinic experience preferred.
