Job Overview:

We are seeking compassionate, confident, and proficient EMTs and paramedics to join our small team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a variety of often exciting and challenging environments, providing care to those impacted by disaster.
Responsibilities:
- Perform necessary and prudent care for injured/sick persons, in accordance with the protocols and permissions granted by TMS medical directors for your level of scope and expertise
- Respond to calls for, and oversee, medical care in emergent situations, often in austere wilderness environments
- Provide a high standard of care within a predetermined scope of practice, including lifesaving procedures in austere environments, often with little or no oversight, communication, or assistance
- Provide support to other medical staff as required
- Abide by all rules and regulations as laid out in the TMS handbook and within our federal contract
- Maintain good communication with all levels of incident specific personnel, including supervisors and management.
Requirements:
- At least 1 Valid state EMS licensure. Multiple states preferred.
- Valid National Registry EMS licensure
- Valid driver’s license ("REAL ID" preferred, or DL plus passport)
- Acceptable driving record. No more than 3 moving violations in 5 years time period.
- Red card certification
- L-180, S-130, S-190
- Qualifying arduous pack test (3 miles, 45 lbs, 45 minutes)
- RT-130 (done annually at spring training)
- ICS-100
- ICS-700
- Attendance at our 5 day company specific pre-season spring training (Last week of April in Bend, Oregon)
- Previous experience of at least 1 year in a medical setting, EMS/ pre-hospital preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment, and independently
- Deploy for 16-32 sequential days with very short notice (as little as 2 hours)
-Ability to lift, and carry minimum of 50 pounds for 3 miles. Some assignments may exceed this.
-High comfort level for tent camping in varying climates with minimal "creature comforts", including cell service.
