Tier One Meat Co. is seeking a reliable and experienced Lead Catering Team Member to take full ownership of catering operations from start to finish. This is a unique, event-driven role where hours vary based on catering needs.
You will receive client requests from the Retail Manager and work directly with them to develop and execute a plan, including pricing, product ordering, and fulfillment.
In addition to catering events, this role is responsible for fully running, cooking, and executing our weekly Friday Lunch service (11:00 AM – 1:00 PM) at Tier One.
Key Responsibilities:
Catering Leadership & Execution:
- Take full ownership of catering orders from start to finish
- Receive client requests from the Retail Manager and execute catering plans
- Work on pricing, product ordering, and logistics
- Ensure all catering orders are completed accurately, on time, and to company standards
Friday Lunch Service (Weekly):
- Plan, prep, cook, and execute weekly Friday Lunch (11 AM – 1 PM)
- Set up, serve customers, and manage flow of service
- Ensure quality, consistency, and customer satisfaction
- Handle cleanup and reset after service
Food Prep & Cooking:
- Prepare ingredients and execute catering menu items according to recipes
- Cook and assemble orders with consistency, quality, and attention to detail
Catering Delivery & Setup:
- Load, transport, and deliver catering orders safely and on time
- Set up catering orders when required
- Verify accuracy and completeness of all orders before delivery
Kitchen Cleanliness & Organization:
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen at all times
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Complete daily and post-event cleaning and breakdown
Inventory & Stocking:
- Monitor and stock ingredients needed for catering operations
- Communicate inventory needs and shortages
- Ensure proper organization of prep areas and storage
Recipes & Standards:
- Follow established recipes and processes consistently
- Maintain portioning and preparation standards
- Assist in refining and improving catering processes as needed
Client Relations:
- Interact professionally with catering clients during delivery and setup
- Represent Tieronemeatco with a high level of customer service
- Ensure a positive client experience from order to completion
Schedule:
- Event-based hours depending on catering bookings
- Fridays required: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM (weekly lunch service)
- Additional prep, cooking, and delivery hours scheduled as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous kitchen, catering, or food service experience preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
- Ability to lift and carry 40–60 lbs as needed
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong communication and customer service skills
