We are seeking a skilled, warm, and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLP-A) to join our team. The ideal candidate is confident in delivering pediatric speech-language treatment, has experience across a variety of communication needs, and thrives with supportive, accessible supervision. The SLP-A will provide direct treatment for children with articulation disorders, language delays/disorders, autism spectrum disorders, AAC needs, and sensory-based feeding challenges using a playful, child-led, and evidence-backed approach. This is an excellent opportunity for an SLP-A who wants a balance of autonomy and support while working in a nurturing, growth-focused clinical environment.

Primary Treatment Areas

The caseload may include, but is not limited to:

• Articulation & phonological disorders

• Receptive and expressive language delays/disorders

• Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) with a play-based, collaborative approach

• AAC (low-tech & high-tech systems; modeling and device support)

• Sensory-based feeding exposure (supporting the SLP in expanding food variety, exploration, and confidence—not oral-motor treatment)

Key Responsibilities

Direct Patient Care

• Provide high-quality speech therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
• Implement individualized treatment plans using engaging, play-based activities.
• Track measurable progress toward client goals and communicate it clearly to families.
• Support AAC implementation through modeling, programming, data collection, and caregiver education.
• Facilitate sensory-based feeding exploration sessions under clinician guidance.

Documentation & Administrative Duties

• Complete daily treatment notes accurately and on time.
• Assist with updating data, goal tracking, and session summaries.
• Communicate professionally with caregivers regarding home practice recommendations.

Collaboration & Professional Growth

• Participate in scheduled supervision meetings with the supervising SLP.
• Ask questions, seek clarification, and maintain open communication to ensure clinical excellence.
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to support whole-child development.
• Maintain compliance with state licensing, ethical standards, and clinic policies.

Clinic Support

• Help maintain organized therapy spaces and treatment materials.
• Contribute to a positive, joyful, family-centered environment for staff and clients.

Qualifications

• Active SLP-A License in the State of Florida (required).
• Previous experience working as an SLP-A or in a pediatric setting (strongly preferred).
• Experience with articulation, language, autism, AAC, and sensory-based feeding.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to deliver fun, engaging, child-led therapy sessions.
• Comfortable receiving supervision while also working confidently and independently.
• Passionate about helping children and families.
