Job Overview:
Thrive Family Clinic, LLC is seeking a motivated and compassionate Clinical Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Clinical Assistant, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. This position offers a competitive salary range of $16.5 to $22 per hour.
General Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Take and record vital signs accurately
- Prepare exam rooms and equipment for patient visits
- Maintain patient records and ensure proper documentation
- Coordinate patient appointments and follow-up care
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families
- Assist with front-office duties as needed, including answering phones and scheduling appointments
- Adhere to all clinic policies and procedures to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
Specific Tasks to be assigned:
Complete chart preparation for MD and NP
Complete data entry for the referral & authorization trackers
Assist with tracking and updates for Population Health metrics
Complete medication prior authorization for selected patients
Assist with check in/check out at the front office as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a medical assistant program, phlebotomy program, certified nursing assistant or other relevant healthcare certification
- Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in computer skills and electronic health record systems
- CPR certification preferred
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
