Description

Real Estate Closer (Huntersville & Denver, NC)

Salary: $48,000 – $60,000 | Full-Time | Split-Site Position

Thomas & Webber, PLLC is a client-focused real-estate and estate-planning law firm serving Lake Norman and the greater Charlotte region. Guided by our core values of client-first decisions, meticulous attention to detail, dependable teamwork, and unwavering integrity, we’re hiring an experienced Real Estate Closer to support operations at our Huntersville and Denver offices. Training will occur at our Mooresville location until the Closer is ready to handle the Huntersville and Denver offices.

Why This Role Matters

You’ll orchestrate every behind-the-scenes detail that turns a signed contract into a successful closing. By coordinating with lenders, agents, and clients, and by managing precise post-closing tasks, you’ll ensure transactions finish smoothly and compliantly while leaving all parties delighted with our service.

What You’ll Do

Pre-Closing

  • Collect contracts, title commitments, payoffs, and lender packages; flag and cure deficiencies early.
  • Prepare settlement statements/ALTAs and obtain approvals ahead of closing.
  • Communicate proactively with lenders, agents, attorneys, and clients to confirm dates, clear conditions, and keep everyone informed.
  • Assemble complete closing packages—including lender documents, firm forms, and client copies—ready for the attorney-conducted signing.

Post-Closing

  • Record deeds, deeds of trust, and other instruments (e-recording where available).
  • Disburse funds, balance ledgers, and verify compliance with North Carolina Good Funds rules.
  • Order, review, and distribute final owner and lender title policies.
  • Scan, label, and archive files in Qualia, ensuring every document is indexed and audit-ready.
  • Track post-closing tasks to completion (recording confirmations, policy issuance, etc.) and provide status updates to stakeholders.

General

  • Split your time between Huntersville and Denver; typical cadence is three days in Huntersville, two in Denver, flexing with demand.
  • Identify workflow improvements that make our processes faster, simpler, and safer.
  • Champion our core values in every interaction—internal and external.

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of residential real-estate closing or paralegal experience (North Carolina preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of ALTA/HUD settlement statements, TRID timelines, and e-recording platforms.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365; familiarity with Qualia (or similar closing software) is a plus.
  • North Carolina Notary Public commission—or willingness to obtain within 30 days.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, clear written and verbal communication, and a client-centric mindset.
  • Reliable transportation for inter-office travel and the ability to lift/transport closing kits (up to ~25 lbs.).

What We Offer

  • Salary range of $48k – $60k, commensurate with experience.
  • Health, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, and PTO.
  • A supportive, values-driven team that treats every closing as the most important of the day.
