We are currently seeking a full-time dynamic and compassionate Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our team for a position in either outpatient, home health/early intervention, or a combination of both. Your Responsibilities as a Therapy South PT:

  • Independently evaluate the movement ability of patients through the administration, interpretation of standardized tests, clinical observation and patient/family interview.
  • Create individualized treatment plans, home exercise programs and provide patient/family training, using smart, safe and innovative ideas to maximize the patient's functional potential.
  • Provide a calm, kind and welcoming space for families to succeed.
  • Demonstrate ability to develop, document, write, and clearly communicate treatment goals and treatment plans that honors the child’s present level, the family unique abilities, and a realistic timeline that creates the potential for success, post initial comprehensive evaluation or reassessment.
  • Provide training and education to family/caregivers and other professionals at Therapy South.
  • Work collaboratively with other speech and occupational therapists on site. Consult with and effectively communicate with other team members, assisting in monitoring client progress.
  • Engage in research to enhance knowledge about human communication processes and develop new assessment and treatment methods that may lead to more effective outcomes.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately, in a timely manner, and thoroughly in accordance with department standards; in addition, documentation complies with patient insurance requirements.
  • Actively monitor and assist the family and/or admin team with schedule management, which may include assisting with appointment confirmations, cancellations and/or rescheduling.


We are Currently Looking for Candidates with the Following Qualifications:

  • Minimum one-two years of clinical experience working with pediatric clients.
  • Doctorate degree Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • California Physical Therapy License or be license eligible
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and move easily on the floor during therapy sessions.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with a propensity for problem-solving and working within a team.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong technology skills and the ability to work within numerous online platforms such as Google Workspace, Trello, SLACK, and our Electronic Medical Record.
  • A genuine joy and passion for working with children and their families
  • A child-led approach to therapeutic care and a whole brain-body approach to child development.
