Apply for Pianist Needed — Camp Callback 2026

Theatre Major, LLC, is an educational consulting company that advises and trains student-actors applying to collegiate acting and musical theatre programs around the world.

Theatre Major is looking for a skilled collaborative pianist for Camp Callback, our annual college-audition intensive for high school juniors and seniors, on Sunday, October 11 at Open Jar Studios (1601 Broadway, NYC).

Schedule:

• 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• 1:00 – 3:00 PM
• 3:00 – 4:00 PM
• 5:00 – 6:00 PM

(Built-in breaks between sessions.)

Full-day pianists preferred — we'd love someone who can cover the entire day above. That said, we're happy to consider pianists who can only commit to the AM portion (11–1:30) or the PM portion (3–6).

What you'll be doing:

Accompanying students through mock auditions, 1:1 coaching sessions, and group workshops across musical theatre and vocal repertoire — sight-reading a range of styles and cuts as students bring in their own material.

What we're looking for:

• Strong sight-reading skills
• Experience accompanying musical theatre or vocal auditions/coachings
• Comfort working with teenage performers
• Reliability and a collaborative, low-ego presence in the room
